Ergonomic Risk Assessment & Ergonomic Principles & Techniques

Ergonomic risk assessment can be applied to a vast range of work situations in industry, retail and the office.

There are two types of DSE training;

  1. The formal risk assessment training
  2. Setting up a DSE workstation

The two courses are quite different from each other but both will contain certain key elements vital to performing the task in hand.

Manual Handling & Manual Handling Risk Assessment

Manual Handing is still one of the most prevalent causes of back injury today. We are aware that employees do not have to be lifting large heavy weights to injure themselves that repetition and body posture can injure some very quickly.

Subjects covered include;

  • Manual Handling Regulations
  • Structure of the back and other injuries
  • Identifying Hazard
  • Lifting Techniques
  • Conduction Live Assessments

Ergonomics for Occupation Health & Health & Safety Specialists

This course covers some specialist items such as disability and specialist equipment. Not all disabilities are visible so we teach the above specialists how to recognise and understand the type of problem the client may be experiencing and what are the best ways to assist them.

As a practical part of this course we have specialist equipment at the training session and teach the participants how to ensure it is the right equipment and correct size for the client and the task they have to perform.
