About Ergo Safely

Ergo-safely has been a Registered Ergonomics Consultancy with the Ergonomics Society since 1992 when it first started business.

As a Consultancy we have been fortunate to experience a wide variety of work situations within manufacturing, retail and services and understand the importance of tailoring any proposals to enhance the goals and culture of your company.

We also understand that all improvements must have a cost benefit that can be recovered within a reasonable time scale that can be monitored by your business.

Ergo-safely has undertaken work from re-designing a factory layout and designing workstations to be used by employees with physical and psychological disabilities to one off DSE assessments.

The founder of Ergo-Safely, Dorene Brazil, was the Ergonomist in the Ergonomics Team which consisted of a multi discipline group, for Courtauld Textiles, who where one of the first manufacturing companies to employ a full time Ergonomist to resolve their WRULDs and manufacturing problems. During her time with the company she developed Manual Handling, DSE, and Engineers risk assessment packs, Reporting Procedures, Cellular Working with JIT systems and undertook the training of staff to use them. She also presented the benefits of Ergonomics to Trade Unions, Qualified and training medical personnel through University courses teaching them the principles of Ergonomics.

Dorene has carried her experiences and expertise developing and evolving them to assist the different businesses she has been involved with over her many years as an Ergonomics Consultant.
